Survival Camp has now returned from the frozen wilderness that was Hatfield forest!
A weekend of fun was had by all despite the sub zero temperatures with everyone sleeping under home made shelters, cooking over the fire and generally messing about in to woods. We had a go at all sorts of carving from spiked sticks to spoons and even tried our hand at inventive cooking; both successfully baking bread and making roast beef and chips all over a camp fire! A afternoon trip to the main lake saw the explorers get out and about exploring and some even reminiscing about (apparently) distant childhood!!
The photos have now been uploaded to the gallery which you can see by logging in.
Many thanks to everyone at Hatfield Forest for allowing us to spend the weekend in the Forest and to all the parents who offered their services as taxi's for the weekend, we had a great time.
